How can I edit a scanned document in Photoshop?

      If the document was scanned as a bitmapped document — a JPG or TIF file — it is, in essence, a photograph of the document, and you could use Photoshop’s retouching and text tools to change it. It would be a slow process, likely the most inefficient way possible to “edit” the document, most especially if you wanted high visual quality.
