Is automation a boon or bane for a mechanical engineer?

Due to the physical nature of jobs, mechanical engineer generally does. There is generally a lot of nonvalue-added activities done by engineer apart from actual engineering.

They are left with Government Jobs which require to appear for GATE. Which is very intense and huge competition.

The research in this field is also limited. One has to go abroad for better education such as Germany. Which is also considered as Paradise for Mechanical Engineers.
